Job Opportunity

The Retention Specialist role focuses on designing and implementing donor retention strategies to build lasting relationships with the donor community.

This is a purpose-driven opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children who need healthcare and support from rural and remote areas.

As a key member of the team, you will lead with heart, think outside the box, and innovate to ensure donors feel seen, valued, and inspired.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage donor servicing touchpoints including welcome letters, receipting, and inbox support
  • Implement automated donor journeys and decline recovery strategies
  • Coordinate donor milestone celebrations and thank you touchpoints
  • Support Giving Day and loyalty initiatives
  • Analyse donor behaviour and report on retention KPIs
  • Collaborate with fundraising, marketing, and data teams to deliver seamless donor experiences
Requirements
  • 2+ years in fundraising, marketing, or donor engagement (or transferable experience)
  • Experience managing direct mail and digital campaigns
  • Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Familiarity with fundraising databases (preference for Salesforce)
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • A collaborative, proactive, and donor-first mindset
