Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Electronic Systems Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and advice in the acquisition, maintenance and sustainment of electronic systems.

About the Role:

  • Provide hands-on technical skills and advice in support of the Materiel Certification (MC) and Introduction into Service (IIS) of electronic systems.
  • Assist with Test and Evaluation Trials activities of capabilities being procured and IIS.
  • Work with specialist teams on CIED systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support planning for transition of project capabilities being procured and being IIS.
  • Evaluate OEM maintenance requirements supplied with project equipment.
  • Maintain project equipment in accordance with OEM requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation and conduct of project equipment all trials activities (including Test and Evaluation and Validation and Verification of capabilities).

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering at the Diploma or higher level.
  • Experience in Engineering in the Defence environment.
  • Qualification in Electronics Communications or Electronic Systems.
  • Australian Government Security Clearance - Minimum NV1.

Desirable:

  • Relevant experience in the Defence Joint or Land Domain within the past 5 years.
  • Solid understanding of the Defence Land Materiel Safety Manual.
