Key Engineering Role in Sydney's Western Harbour Tunnel Project

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in delivering the Western Harbour Tunnel - Stage 2 project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert technical guidance and engineering support to the construction team, reviewing and interpreting design documentation, specifications, and construction drawings, liaising with design consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to resolve mechanical engineering issues, and maintaining accurate records of technical decisions, correspondence, and engineering changes.

This is a key opportunity to work on a major transport infrastructure project in Australia, utilizing your skills and experience to drive the success of the project.

About the Project

The Western Harbour Tunnel - Stage 2 project involves the construction of approximately 4.8 kilometres of mainline tunnels with three lanes in each direction, civil, mechanical, and electrical fitout of Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunnels, and surface level work including on- and off-ramps and tie-in work to the Warringah Freeway.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Prior experience in Mechanical engineering, ideally within transport infrastructure or tunnel projects
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, mechanical systems, and relevant standards
