Grounds Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our team at a picturesque coastal retirement community.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to make a meaningful impact on the daily lives of residents by keeping outdoor spaces safe, clean, and beautifully presented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, mulching, watering, and planting
  • Undertake regular maintenance of gardens, lawns, paths, and communal outdoor areas
  • Manage rubbish bin placement and waste disposal
  • Maintain and safely operate gardening equipment and tools
  • Respond to ad hoc maintenance or gardening requests in line with resident needs and village standards

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in gardening, groundskeeping, or landscape maintenance
  • Sound knowledge of horticultural practices and plant care
  • The ability to work independently and take initiative to maintain high presentation standards
  • A customer-friendly approach and strong interpersonal skills
  • Physical capability to undertake manual tasks (up to 15kg lifting)
