This role involves undertaking mental, social and physical assessments, treatment and delivering continuing care for patients in an inpatient setting. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care is provided in line with our organisation's values and strategic direction.

As a mental health professional, you will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking comprehensive mental, social and physical assessments of patients
  • Developing and implementing individualised care plans
  • Delivering high-quality care and support to patients
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Minimum two years post-graduate experience in mental health nursing
  • Enrolled Nurses must have medication endorsement and IV qualification
  • Previous experience in mental health nursing
  • Strong understanding of scope of practice in line with relevant registration
  • Ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patients
  • Exceptional customer service and time management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining positive working relationships with others
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently as required
