We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Accountant to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with our Financial Controller and Dealership Accountant, gaining hands-on experience across a variety of accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly Profit & Loss statements
- Managing floorplan reconciliations, payments, and audits
- Supporting the year-end audit process
- Preparing monthly and weekly reports
- Conducting balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Performing bank and credit card reconciliations
- Reconciling manufacturer retail and fleet claims
Requirements:
- Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills
- A team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
- Automotive industry knowledge (preferred but not essential)
