Resort Operations Manager

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our Rooms Division team, ensuring seamless front office operations and exceptional customer service.

About This Opportunity

This is a key role within our resort, requiring a seasoned professional to manage staff, coordinate business activities, and maintain high standards of presentation and customer service.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Directing and assisting staff with front office procedures and tasks
  • Leading by example, coaching, and motivating a high-performing team to achieve excellent results
  • Assisting with operational activities, accounting procedures, expenditure management, rosters, training, and induction of staff
  • Monitoring operations and maintaining the property's presentation to the highest standard
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Handling complex issues, guest complaints, and resolving issues efficiently and professionally

Requirements for Success

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Previous supervisory or management experience in a 4-5 star hotel/resort environment
  • Strong knowledge of front office and night operations in a multi-outlet setting
  • Experience in staff management practices, including recruiting, rewarding, appraising, counselling, and staff development
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills
