Key Responsibilities
  • Lead advanced cyber defence and incident response initiatives, working closely with a high-performing team of cybersecurity professionals.
  • Mentor and guide a team of cybersecurity analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Monitor security systems and networks, investigate incidents, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Analyse logs and threat intelligence to identify potential risks and develop targeted response plans.
  • Evaluate and implement new security tools, technologies, and processes to enhance overall cybersecurity posture.
  • Align security operations with established frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST, CIS, and ASD ISM.
  • Champion continuous improvement and uplift of SOC tooling and processes to drive business value.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience in cybersecurity or IT are highly desirable.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or ITIL Practitioner can be advantageous.
  • Strong experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk preferred), SPL, and threat hunting is essential.
  • A deep understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, threat modelling, and operational threat intelligence is required.
  • Proven ability to lead incident response and vulnerability management programs is necessary.
