Facility Operations Manager

We are seeking a skilled Facility Supervisor to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis (48 hours fortnightly).

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is able to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders and provide a safe and supportive environment for tenants.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking tenancy management functions, completing cleaning and maintenance tasks, working effectively with tenants to ensure their health and wellbeing is maintained, providing assistance and preparation of meals, and providing limited on-call assistance outside of business hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake tenancy management functions
• Complete and/or arrange cleaning and maintenance
• Work effectively with tenants to ensure their health and wellbeing is maintained
• Provide assistance and preparation of meals
• Provide limited on-call assistance outside of business hours

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• Knowledge of issues pertaining to people experiencing homelessness
• Understanding of relevant legislation, including the Residential Tenancy Act 1997 and occupational health and safety requirements
• Safe Food Handling certificate or willingness to undertake training
• Ability to work effectively within a team and knowledge of external support services for tenants
• Ability to contribute to team activities such as debriefings and program planning
• Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks
• High interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Sound computer skills
• Understanding of privacy and confidentiality issues

Additionally, you will need to be able to:

• Provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people (no older than 12 months) Police Check
• Provide an International Police Check if residing outside Australia for 12 months or more after age 16
• Undergo a satisfactory medical assessment by Anglicare
• Hold a current Australian Driver Licence (provisional or full)
