Key Responsibilities
  • Drive operational excellence in insurance by streamlining processes and eliminating inefficiencies.
  • Provide expert guidance on insurance product administration to colleagues and administrators.
  • Oversee the resolution of complex insurance incidents.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure day-to-day insurance activities align with business rules.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for projects involving insurance touchpoints, providing strategic insights and expertise.
  • Partner with stakeholders to implement changes to business rules and drive process improvements.
  • Maintain a forward-thinking mindset to continuously improve processes and services.
About You
  • 5+ years' experience in life insurance (Group or Retail) at an insurer, administrator, or superannuation trustee with a proven track record of success in similar roles.
  • Strong knowledge of group insurance, including death cover, income protection, and TPD, with a deep understanding of industry standards and regulations.
  • Experience with incidents, transitions, or SFT, and corporate-sponsored super plans, with a focus on stakeholder management and interaction with senior leaders.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage stakeholders and communicate with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to challenge and question established processes and procedures.
  • Understanding of the latest insurance standards, legislation, and regulations, with a commitment to staying up-to-date on industry developments.
  • Change management experience, with a focus on driving process improvements and facilitating change.
  • Strong communication skills and collaboration experience, with a proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record in operationalizing insurance product and legislative changes, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments, with a strong ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
