About the Role

Ventia is seeking an experienced SHEQ Advisor to join our Energy and Renewables team. As a key member of our organization, you will provide critical support and advice to our Gas division across Victoria, South Australia, and external business units to achieve organizational SHEQ objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage incident investigation and reporting processes to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Oversee the control of SHEQ Management Systems, including Workers Compensation Claims Management, governance, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Contract/Operations Managers to achieve organizational SHEQ objectives.
  • Develop and maintain online Management Systems to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Collate, maintain, and monitor Quality Assurance Documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

  • Health and Safety or Risk Management certification or equivalent experience in a utilities business environment.
  • SHEQ Auditors Course (desirable).
  • Workplace Trainer and Assessor Cert IV (desirable).

Technical Competencies

  • IT Literacy and skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Fundamental training in and knowledge of AS4801, AS9000 series, and ISO14001 standards.
  • Fundamental knowledge of relevant WHS legislations.
  • Technical expertise in processes within Construction, Maintenance, and Asset Renewals areas (desirable).
