About the Role:
Bennett And Game Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled SHEQ Advisor to join our team in the northern operations of a leading and award-winning safety-first Civil Engineering and Tunnelling company. The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding the highest Health, Safety, and Environmental standards across all projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Aiding project management teams in maintaining the highest Health, Safety, and Environmental standards
- Take ownership of SHEQ Policy, Accident and Incident reporting, COSHH Procedures, Site preparation for new projects, CDM procedures and implementation
- Coordinate toolbox talks and produce flash safety reports
- Quality Management: Training and development, Client satisfaction Management, Reports, Risk Assessments
- Environmental Management Policy and Procedures, Human Resource Management Policy and Procedures, Safety Office Maintenance
Requirements:
- Desirable HND in Civil Engineering or Construction
- Minimum of a NEBOSH Construction Certificate
- Any experience within the tunnelling and mining industry will be greatly beneficial
- Experience in a Quality Control role on a major project
- Proficiency in Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Experience with lifting equipment
- Hands-on Advisor that is comfortable on site liaising with main contractors as well as site staff
