Strategic Data Insights Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Strategic Data Insights Specialist. The successful candidate will work under limited direction and be responsible for proactively supporting the Program Manager with an exciting data collection and acquisition, management, reporting, analysis, and providing input to data-related policy for the agency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and map existing business processes and procedural documentation within the department.
  • Develop and maintain accurate reports, data visualisation dashboards, and software packages to support internal stakeholders in delivering their business objectives.
  • Design and develop clear and user-friendly instruction materials - including guides, manuals, and checklists that support best practice and legislative compliance.
  • Conduct data analysis, identify and investigate data issues, and cleanse and prepare data to support ongoing business process improvement and sound decision-making.
About You:
  • Excellent written and oral communication and analytical skills, with a track record of producing clear, concise, and persuasive documents for executive audiences.
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL Server, T-SQL, Power Bi, or other related business intelligence, data extracting, reporting, or manipulation software and tools.
  • Strong technical skills in data collection, consolidation, and analytics, including experience using business intelligence, data warehousing, and enterprise content management systems.
