Job Title: Community Outreach Specialist

As a highly motivated and experienced Community Outreach Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in your community by developing and strengthening connections and awareness of community safety and support services.

In this role, you will provide strategic leadership, guidance, and support to the Community Safety and Support Services team to cultivate a strong capacity building ethos within the team and with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will possess effective leadership skills, well-developed knowledge of contemporary community development, community engagement, and community capacity building theory, principles, and practices. They will also demonstrate strong interpersonal and written communication skills, including research and analysis, report writing, strategy development/review, contract and grant management.

This position offers a competitive salary package with access to a pool vehicle, 11% superannuation, health and wellbeing programs, and flexible working arrangements.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • • Provide strategic leadership, guidance, and support to the Community Safety and Support Services team.
  • • Develop and maintain collaborative internal and external strategic and community partnerships.
  • • Coordinate small multi-disciplinary teams and empower them to plan, implement, and evaluate relevant projects and programs.
