Equipment Specialist Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Equipment Specialist to join our team at BlueScope Port Kembla Steelworks.

About the Role:
  • Work collaboratively with multi-discipline teams to ensure effective communication and task completion.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans, shutdowns, and breakdowns, minimizing downtime.
  • Inspect and report on equipment condition, identifying potential issues and proposing corrective actions.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
  1. Support the Asset Improvement Coordinators with daily tasks, ensuring seamless operations.
  2. Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify and resolve equipment-related issues.
  3. Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Requirements:
  • Proven mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Diploma of Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • NSW Driver's Licence and computer literacy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
