Quality Assurance Officer

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled professional to join our Risk Department as a Quality Assurance Officer. This role will provide an exciting opportunity for growth and knowledge development in lending assurance and the credit lifecycle.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing lending files at various stages of the credit lifecycle, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and our policies and procedures. They will also conduct targeted reviews, investigate fraud referrals, and provide feedback to employees.

To be successful in this role, you will need a strong understanding of credit-based activities throughout the credit lifecycle, analysis and reporting skills, and attention to detail. You will also need effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other Business Units.

This is an entry-level position that offers a full-time secondment for approximately 12 months. The ideal candidate will be motivated, eager to learn, and committed to delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing lending files at various stages of the credit lifecycle
  • Conducting targeted reviews and investigations
  • Providing feedback to employees and identifying areas for improvement
  • Analyzing and reporting on lending data
  • Identifying collective and individual knowledge gaps and coaching staff to improve risk awareness
Requirements:
  • Understanding of credit-based activities throughout the credit lifecycle
  • Analysis and reporting skills
  • Attention to detail and fraud awareness
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Knowledge of key compliance requirements (NCCP, Privacy, AML/CTF, FSR)
  • Sound risk awareness and positive attitude towards assurance
  • Proficient computer skills
