The Veterinary Referral Coordinator and Financial Manager is a critical position responsible for managing referral caseloads, handling referral inquiries, and ensuring accurate financial management of in-patient accounts. This role is essential in developing strong relationships with referring veterinarians, implementing efficient scheduling practices, and maintaining precise financial records.
Key Responsibilities- Provide an efficient workflow and exceptional client experience for referring veterinarians by facilitating easy interaction with Greencross Limited.
- Act as the primary point of contact for referring veterinarians and veterinary clinics during business hours.
- Effectively manage referral workflows, including the scheduling of referral appointments.
- Collaborate with department leads to coordinate interdepartmental transfers, prioritizing patient needs and hospital workflow efficiency.
- Review and improve referral processes and interdepartmental operations to ensure optimal performance.
- Foster strong relationships with external veterinarians and stakeholders to drive business growth.
- Ensure accurate financial records and manage client accounts, including reviewing and updating tax invoices.
- Facilitate payment of additional deposits as required and monitor client accounts for minimum deposits and changes in treatment plans.
- Provide regular reporting on client accounts, deposit requests, billing discrepancies, and compliance-related issues.
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in veterinary or veterinary specialist practice.
- Previous experience with RxWorks and billing procedures is advantageous but not essential.
- Independent operator with a passion for the veterinary industry and a desire to progress.
- Proactive, accountable, and able to show initiative and drive results.
- Proven ability to be organized, prioritize tasks, and be flexible and agile.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team player with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
