About the Role

The Australian Government Department of Defence is seeking a highly skilled and experienced finance professional to join the Navy Acquisitions team in Canberra, Adelaide, or Sydney.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert financial advice on Defence and Government matters, leveraging business knowledge and financial skills.
  • Build and sustain effective working relationships with key clients across the Fleet and Maritime domain.
  • Coordinate financial governance requirements and promote compliance with financial management frameworks.
  • Contribute to budget preparations, evaluation of financial performance, and general financial management across various budgets and capabilities.
  • Identify financial issues and apply financial management knowledge to deliver objective and systematic analysis and conclusions.
About Our Team

Our embedded teams provide finance support to the Navy Head Quarter and partnered Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group. We are working towards a comprehensive recalibration of Defence's priorities, with a significant focus on enhancing maritime capabilities.
