Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our team at ConnectOS. As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust, scalable, and high-performance data architectures using Microsoft data and analytical technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop data architectures that meet business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop data solutions that meet those needs.
  • Implement data integration, warehousing, and analytics solutions using Microsoft technologies.
  • Develop and maintain data models, dictionaries, and governance policies for data quality and integrity.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, scientists, and analysts to deliver comprehensive data solutions.
  • Ensure secure, private, and compliant data architectures in line with industry standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data architects and engineers.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a Data Architect with a focus on Microsoft data and analytical technologies.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data modelling, and data management best practices.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing data solutions using Microsoft technologies such as SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI.
  • Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Databricks)
  • Knowledge of machine learning and advanced analytics
  • Understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices
  • Understanding of cloud computing principles and experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Experience with automation and orchestration tools
