Employment Coach Role

At SYC, we're seeking a dedicated Employment Coach to join our team in Mount Gambier. As an Employment Coach, you'll play a vital role in helping individuals overcome career challenges and achieve their employment goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one coaching sessions to participants, assessing their career needs and creating personalized action plans.
  • Conduct career assessments and help clients identify their strengths, interests, and values to guide their employment goals.
  • Use sales strategies to work collaboratively with community organizations to create opportunities for participants.
  • Assist participants in developing effective job search strategies, including resume writing and interview preparation.
  • Refer participants through training, counseling, and other services to increase long-term employment outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance requirements are met.

About You

We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, empathetic, and dedicated to making a difference in people's lives. You'll have experience in administration, strong attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines and outlined KPI targets.

Requirements:

  • Experience in customer service, client-facing, or an administrative role.
  • Time management, organizational skills, and the ability to plan and prioritize to achieve outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills with well-developed verbal and written skills.
  • Interpersonal conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop relationships with employers and relevant stakeholders.
  • Excellent computer skills.
