Forensic Data Analyst

This role sits within our global Forensic Data Analytics practice, a data-focused team working on the full data analysis lifecycle from discovery to reporting.

We help organisations protect and restore enterprise and financial reputation by investigating facts, resolving disputes, and managing regulatory challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate insights using market-leading advanced data analytic tools to support fraud investigations, disputes, and regulatory compliance challenges for our clients.
  • Work with the broader Forensics team and consult with stakeholders; develop forensic procedures and define measurable data metrics and design investigative analysis.
  • Extract, validate, transform and load high-volume structured and unstructured data from multiple data sources for deeper analysis.
  • Develop algorithms, data mining, and data analytic solutions to assist our clients with detection of fraud, bribery and corruption; irregular financial transactions; anomalous employee behaviour; and to target error and waste in their operations.
  • Support senior team members in the preparation and presentation of client deliverables, including using a suite of visualisation software to clearly present the benefits of the analysis to clients.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate technical information in non-technical language and effectively collaborate with members of cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills; ability to clearly and concisely present data, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Proficiency with data manipulation languages such as SQL and statistical techniques (regression, clustering) and analytical and modelling tools such as Alteryx, Python, R or similar packages.
