About the Role:

The Centre Manager will be responsible for leading the development of an integrated model of clinic-based health service delivery to young people in the region. This includes developing, implementing, and monitoring systems that provide intake assessment, screening, engagement, and provision of support for young people, including both individual counselling and group/family-based approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and review the Clinical Governance Framework to ensure high-quality clinical service delivery.
  • Oversee clinical services across both headspace locations, ensuring service excellence through effective leadership and management of Team Leaders and clinical staff, maintaining alignment with iREACH policies.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of mental health programs.
  • Provide supervision, professional development, and support to clinical team leaders and staff.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with consortium partners, service providers, and community stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
  • Manage program budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and that programs operate within budgetary constraints.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate responses to client inquiries, complaints, and support the Community Engagement team in promoting mental health services within the community.
  • Ensure all services meet statutory and contractual obligations.
  • Promote a safe work environment by implementing and monitoring WHS policies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, including the development of strategic plans, internal evaluations, and compliance with national standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading clinics and clinicians across both public and private health settings.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health diagnostic and classification systems.
  • Qualifications in business or health management are viewed favourably.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management abilities with a track record of success.
  • Skilled in resolving conflicts and fostering a positive, collaborative environment.
  • Experienced in building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Experienced in implementing efficient systems and procedures to improve performance.
  • Highly self-motivated with a dynamic personality, able to lead health service development autonomously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.
  • Proven skills in decision making, problem solving, time management, and setting priorities to achieve program outcomes.
