About the Role:The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships across our full suite of mortgage products. This includes acting as a business coach to a network of brokers, helping them achieve revenue targets.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide a delightful experience to brokers and their customers in relation to new loan enquiries, applications, or existing loans.
- Proactively manage a sales funnel and follow up sales leads and opportunities to completion.
- Educate brokers on all loan opportunities and how they can drive business growth.
- Support broader business initiatives to improve business performance, efficiencies, and broker/customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrated excellence in business development, sales, and relationship management with proven experience in Mortgage lending and third-party intermediary spaces.
- Experience in the banking, non-bank, and finance industries, specifically within the broker space.
- Current relationships and contacts within the broker market.
- Proven experience in growing a panel of brokers.
- Proven track record in meeting or exceeding targets.
- Working knowledge of the banking industry, Australian housing market, and regulatory environment.
- Ability to understand complex industry segments and utilise this understanding to develop initiatives to drive growth.
- Understanding of financial reports and demonstrated numerical and statistical analysis skills.
- Sound understanding of and experience in project management methodologies.
- Self-motivated with a desire to continually exceed expectations and meet targets.
- A strong track record of consistently meeting or exceeding performance metrics.
- Strong numeracy, analytical skills, and a focus on attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills backed by a history of providing memorable service, solutions, and advice.
