Senior Solution Architect Opportunity

In a rapidly evolving technology landscape, organizations rely on expert solution architects to drive strategic initiatives and deliver complex software projects.

As a senior solution architect, you will provide technical guidance to sales and delivery project teams, leveraging your knowledge of the Z platform and SMPO delivery methodology.

Your advanced communication skills will support teams in making strong technical and architectural decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Our team is seeking a senior solution architect to oversee software projects and migration services for clients across Australia and Asia-Pacific.

You will design and implement large complex software migration projects, interacting closely with multiple teams and vendors.

Responsibilities include defining project parameters, developing detailed project documentation, and providing guidance to program and project managers and technical leaders.

You will also play a leadership role interacting with customer executives and technical leaders.

Required Expertise
  • Experience working with c-level executives and technical managers
  • Ability to act as a trusted adviser to customer executives and senior technical leaders
  • Demonstrated deep knowledge of IBM Z platform and operational considerations
  • Excellent written and communications skills
  • Experience leading cross-functional technical teams
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to adapt to change
  • Australian citizenship or willingness to apply for clearances
  • At least 10 years of technical project management experience and 15+ years of Z mainframe experience
Preferred Experience
  • IBM Z Mainframe platform experience
  • Software migration experience from 3rd party ISV Z mainframe software
  • Technical competence in at least one domain of IBM Z software products
  • Application development experience on IBM Z, including Cobol or PL/1
  • Knowledge of transaction processing systems and enterprise infrastructure design
