About the Role

Eaton is a leading provider of intelligent power management solutions dedicated to improving the quality of life and protecting the environment. Our Power Distribution Systems & Services Division offers a wide range of power management solutions for various industries, including renewable energy, mining, industrial, utility, commercial, data centers, and healthcare.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to manage our Medium Voltage sales pipeline for New South Wales (NSW). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and providing technical support and solution selling to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and grow customer accounts in the region
  • Engage with customers through face-to-face meetings and regular calls to identify new opportunities
  • Provide technical support, solution selling, and product launch/promotion presentations to major customers, consultants, contractors, and specialist distributors
  • Communicate the technical features and business benefits of proposed solutions to customers
  • Sell into markets such as rail, infrastructure, data centers, and renewables
  • Coordinate trade show participation and write technical articles
  • Quote against tender specifications and provide regular feedback on competitor activity
  • Provide first-level technical support on MV switchgear products
  • Provide value creation and differentiation to customers where needed
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of local sales experience in the medium voltage industrial industry
  • Detailed product knowledge of medium switchgear is desirable but not mandatory
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to relate to people at all levels
  • Trade qualification as an electrician or tertiary qualifications
