Claims Management Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Claims Consultant to join our team at TAL Australia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the proactive management of a portfolio of life insurance claims, adhering to external regulations and company procedures. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of life insurance claims in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to external regulations and company policies, including the Life Insurance Code of Practice.
- Ensure all interactions with customers, advisers, and other stakeholders are of high quality and compliant.
- Contribute to departmental and company projects as required.
- Gather and interpret relevant information to form an appropriate claims strategy.
- Determine correct benefit entitlements and ensure timely payment in accordance with policy terms and conditions.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including Technical Specialists and Recovery & Support Specialists.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Experience in a similar claims management role in the Financial Services or Insurance Industry.
- Able to build rapport and empathy with customers during difficult times.
- Advanced time management and prioritisation skills.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Health, or Allied Health (desirable).
- Diploma or Cert IV in Life Insurance, or equivalent (desirable).
