Warehouse Operations Manager\

This role supports the Regional Director for inventory planning, purchasing, distribution, and logistics operations. The successful candidate will develop processes to ensure order fulfilment and shipment delivery meet customer expectations.

\

The Warehouse Operations Manager will also be responsible for analysing data from shipping and delivering processes to identify bottlenecks. They will collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth and improvement.

\Key Responsibilities:\

  • Manage daily operations of product distribution, including receiving and put away of goods, maintaining on hand inventory, picking, packing, and shipping, completion of work orders.\
  • Maintain a high standard of health, safety, and industrial hygiene in the warehouse environment.\
  • Establish and monitor effective KPIs to track labour capacity, utilization, and efficiency in the warehouse.\
  • Forecast inventory needs and calculate stock levels to minimize stock-outs while effectively managing cash flow and reducing slow and obsolete inventory.\
  • Ensure near-perfect inventory accuracy by location within the ERP system through process controls.\
  • Maintain item master files in the ERP system to reflect actual business conditions.\
  • Identify and manage continuous improvement opportunities in the warehouse operations.\
  • Design, implement, and document processes aimed at improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost in the warehouse.\
  • Recruit, train, coach, and motivate warehouse team members.\
  • Manage quality complaints relating to warehouse operations and escalate warranty claims to manufacturers.\
  • Develop and maintain an operating plan that aligns with business objectives.\
  • Liaise with manufacturers, sales, and customer service representatives to ensure customer expectations are met.\
  • Monitor past due backlog and on-time delivery, responding quickly to unfavorable trends.\
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest relevant regulations and standards in the industry.\
