The Role

We're seeking an experienced legal counsel to join our team, focusing on negotiating customer contracts and renewals in the software space. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and identifying areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance on legal and commercial matters for the Australian business;
  • Negotiate contracts with customers, suppliers, vendors, and contractors;
  • Work with Professional Services teams to create realistic Statements of Work;
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives, aligning with Gentrack's vision and values;
  • Coordinate bid responses to tenders, supporting customers with contract-related issues.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years PQE, preferably with experience in software vendor contracts;
  • Solid understanding of Australian contractual law;
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and provide clear advice;
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills;
  • A proactive self-starter with high autonomy;
  • Proven ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
