The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled High Volume Payroll Specialist to join our Belmont Office and support a team of 4 with end-to-end payroll processing.

About the Job

The Payroll Officer will be responsible for processing end-to-end weekly & fortnightly payrolls accurately and on time, interpreting relevant Awards and EAs to process payroll, and configuring payroll system rules correctly. They will also assist in the resolution of complex payroll queries and issues, manage the provision of timely, relevant and accurate reporting for internal and external stakeholders, and perform monthly and quarterly reconciliation of PAYG, superannuation, portable long service leave, and other general payroll maintenance tasks.

About You

  • You will have 2-3 years prior experience in end-to-end payroll processing with high volume, blue and white-collar employees.
  • You will have a strong understanding of legislation, taxation and superannuation related to payroll processing activities.
  • You will have previous experience with interpreting and understanding industrial instruments including Awards, Enterprise Agreements and Common Law arrangements.
  • You will have excellent problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • You will have the ability to work autonomously and a strong team contributor.
  • You will have strong analytical skills and intermediate Excel skills.
  • You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Salary and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as access to our Employee Assistance Program, free onsite parking, and a supportive team environment.
