Job Title: Network Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure.


This is a 24-month fixed-term position, ideal for a professional with proven experience in network administration, particularly in Operational Technology (OT) projects centered on OT security, infrastructure, and IT/OT segmentation and SCADA architecture.


The successful candidate will spearhead the maintenance and monitoring of our state-wide network infrastructure across Queensland, leveraging expertise in SASE Technologies and PALO ALTO firewalls. PCNSA certification is highly desirable.


Key accountabilities include:

  • Design and implement network services to support operational locations.
  • Provide specialist advice and input into the architecture of the Sunwater network in line with business requirements.
  • Ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure with operational technology systems.
  • Manage vendor relationships for network support agreements with managed service providers in line with contractual expectations.
  • Troubleshoot network issues and perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve problems.

You will bring at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, a degree in computer science or IT or relevant field, and strong interpersonal skills. A collaborative approach and ability to work in a team environment are essential.
