About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Underground Project Engineer to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Site Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as statutory requirements. Key responsibilities include managing mining physicals to meet contract and client schedules, maintaining a positive and collaborative relationship with clients while meeting their contractual requirements, analyzing and implementing cost reduction initiatives, developing and implementing revenue-generating initiatives, managing site finances, scheduling short-term operations, monitoring production, preparing monthly performance reports, managing quality assurance programs, preparing budgets, and assisting in the preparation of monthly claims and interfacing with clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Understanding both equipment and human resource capabilities and productivities.
  • Able to manage mining contracts and costs.
  • Able to communicate and liaise with employees and client site management.
  • Able to prepare monthly mining progress claims.
  • Able to identify potential hazards and minimize risks.
  • Able to schedule labor.
  • Able to assess mining working conditions and environment.
  • Understand the mine reporting system.
  • Aware of appropriate statutory and mining regulations.
  • Able to supervise, lead, assess, promote, and educate personnel as required.
