Job Title

We're looking for an experienced tax professional to join our business tax team. As a senior associate, you'll take on more responsibility by managing client relationships and leading smaller projects.

The business tax team provides comprehensive tax advisory services to privately-owned businesses. Our expertise spans tax planning and strategy, succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, and reorganization. We work with clients to understand their needs and objectives, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements while optimizing their tax positions.

Privately-owned businesses commonly seek to invest in property and infrastructure development. This role will include working with some of the largest property developers in the country, providing opportunities to engage with high-profile clients and make a significant impact in the sector and wider community.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of private business clients, understanding their unique tax needs and providing tailored advice
  • Ensure clients meet their tax obligations by preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current regulations
  • Advise clients on tax-efficient strategies to optimize their tax positions, including succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, and reorganization
  • Stay updated with the latest tax laws and regulations, conducting in-depth research to provide clients with informed guidance
  • Mentor and support junior staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment
  • Identify potential tax risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, protecting clients' interests
  • Provide updates to clients on tax-related issues, helping them stay informed about changes in tax legislation
