Job Opportunity: Aboriginal Population Health Trainee

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to fill a three-year traineeship as part of the NSW Aboriginal Population Health Training Initiative.

Key Responsibilities
  • Embedded training in various rotations, including Child Youth and Family Health team, Public Health, and Planetary Health.
  • This role involves addressing child and youth health service delivery and evaluation, Aboriginal community engagement, vaccine promotion, outbreak investigations, and climate change messaging.
Requirements
  • Must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent.
  • A strong understanding of social, cultural, political, and health issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, families, and communities is essential.
  • Previous experience in project design, data collation and presentation, and report-writing is desirable.
  • A recognised undergraduate degree or the ability to meet the admission requirements for the postgraduate degree of Master of Public Health at a university in NSW is required.
