As a Civil Engineer in Transport, you will play a vital role in designing and developing transportation systems that meet the needs of communities across Australia.

Job Description

You will be responsible for undertaking site inspections, gathering data on road environments, traffic, and road safety. You will also plan, supervise, and conduct traffic and parking surveys to analyze data using Excel and SIDRA modeling.

In addition, you will assess and provide solutions-focused design advice for transport infrastructure and operations, including pedestrian pathways, cycling, and end-of-trip facilities, car parking layouts, etc. You will prepare draft reports and other correspondence as directed in support of project RPEQ.

Furthermore, you will obtain and assess crash data to identify road safety concerns and possible treatments. You will attend client meetings (where appropriate) in support of the project RPEQ.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering;
  • A demonstrated interest in the transport industry;
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team;
  • A passion for learning and problem-solving;
  • Eligibility to work in Australia;
  • Currently in final year of degree or 1-2 years post-graduation.
