About the role:

WSP Australia is seeking a talented and experienced Civil Engineer to join our dynamic Water Infrastructure team in Brisbane. We are open to both full-time and part-time applications, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle. Our team is a passionate and skilled group, committed to delivering innovative, sustainable water infrastructure solutions. We are looking for someone who can bridge the gap between our junior engineers and experienced Principal Engineers, offering guidance and mentoring while also having the opportunity to learn from the best in the industry. This role provides the chance to work on exciting and impactful projects that make a real difference to communities across Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Civil Design Development and Delivery: Ensure high-quality civil design development and delivery throughout the full project life cycle, from initiation to closure.
  • Technical Documentation: Produce and review concise, high-quality technical documentation to guide construction and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Design Management: Lead or assist in the design and/or design management of various water and wastewater infrastructure projects or program work packages.
  • Client Satisfaction: Actively assist colleagues in achieving improved client feedback results, enhancing satisfaction, and exceeding client expectations.
  • Proposal Preparation: Assist with the preparation and coordination of high-quality proposals and pursuits to secure new projects.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team on large-scale infrastructure projects and programs, fostering effective communication and coordination.

Ideally you will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Typically 4 years + experience in a consultancy environment.
  • Experience in detailed design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in design management of water and wastewater infrastructure projects (ideal).
  • Good knowledge of relevant industry-related Australian Standards and WSAA codes is advantageous.
  • Chartered Engineer or actively working towards chartered status is advantageous.
  • Well-developed use and understanding of Civil 3D modelling software, 2D and 3D CADD software is advantageous.
  • Understanding of related safety in design practices and processes.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Experience in Design and Construction projects is advantageous.
