About the Position

The La Trobe University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance and Business Services Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our administrative team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the University's compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure understanding of the ESOS Act and National Code, and provide timely reporting to the Department of Education, PRISMS system, and the Department of Home Affairs.
  • Coordinate a range of administrative tasks and provide specialist advice related to legislative, regulatory, and quality assurance requirements.
  • Manage international student release requests, discontinuation of enrolment, and monitor student visa compliance.
  • Support the planning and coordination of the University's participation in foreign and financial aid programs, as well as international finance obligations.
Requirements
  • Degree with subsequent relevant experience, or extensive experience leading to specialist expertise or broad knowledge in an administrative field.
  • Demonstrated ability to gain a conceptual understanding of relevant policies, procedures, or systems, and interpretation in the application of policy and/or precedent.
  • Ability to set priorities and monitor workflows within own area of responsibility.
  • Capacity to organise work effectively and efficiently, and deliver outputs in a timely manner.
  • High level proficiency in computer software packages, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail, and the use of the internet as a research tool.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated customer service focus and solution-oriented approach.
