We are seeking an experienced Customs Broker to join our team at People in Focus. As a Customs Broker, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth import and export of goods, while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and lodge customs entries, ensuring accurate classification and valuation of goods
  • Process EFT payments and apply for tariff concessions
  • Prepare refund/duty drawbacks and manage customs tariff and valuation
  • Stay up-to-date with Free Trade Agreements and their implications on trade
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the movement of shipments

Requirements:

  • Current ABF license, including DAWR accreditation
  • High degree of numeracy, literacy, and analytical skills
  • Commercial focus and excellent customer service skills
  • Adaptable, ethical, and hands-on approach
  • Ability to effectively interact and network with internal and external stakeholders
  • First-class communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritize and time-manage
  • Attention to detail
