We are seeking an experienced Physical Education teacher to join our team at a leading secondary IB college in Western Suburbs, Melbourne.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum and the ability to inspire and lead students in both curricular and extracurricular activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and conduct morning and afternoon PE classes for Years 7-12.
  • Supervise students during recess and possibly coach school sports teams.
  • Organize school programs, from small-group interschool sports excursions to year-level camps and whole-school carnivals.
  • Prepare lessons, assess students, and promote health and wellness through culturally integrated activities.
  • Participate in staff meetings and maintain sports equipment.
Requirements
  • Current teaching registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Physical Education, Health, or a related field.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A commitment to promoting an inclusive and respectful school culture.
  • Ability to lead and inspire students to achieve their best in both curricular and extracurricular activities.
