About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Education teacher to join our team at a reputable school in Caroline Springs, Melbourne's West. As a PE teacher, you will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons that align with the Victorian Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver PE lessons that cater to students' diverse needs and abilities.
  • Provide clear instruction and demonstration of movement skills, sports techniques, and fitness exercises.
  • Teach a range of topics related to physical education, including health and well-being, nutrition, mental health, and personal development.
  • Conduct physical fitness assessments to evaluate students' strength, flexibility, endurance, and cardiovascular fitness levels.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment by implementing appropriate safety procedures and risk management strategies during physical activities and sports.
  • Organize and maintain PE equipment, sports gear, and facilities to ensure they are safe, functional, and accessible for students.
  • Integrate health education components into PE lessons to promote students' understanding of health-related topics.
  • Assess students' progress and achievement in PE through various forms of assessment.
Requirements
  • Full Australia Working Rights
  • VIT registration
  • 4-year degree including at least 1 year teacher qualification
  • Previous experience in teaching Secondary PE (open to graduates)
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years
