**Job Title:** Community Football Development CoordinatorThe Victoria's strategic actions and initiatives are being delivered by the Women and Girls Experience Coordinator as part of the AFL Women & Girls Game Development Action Plan. This encompasses coaching, umpiring, volunteering, and club development.This plan is aimed at achieving gender equity in Australian football by 2030 through increasing participation and representation of women and girls across all facets of the game.A Day in the Life / Key Accountabilities
  • Support the Experience Lead in managing the Women & Girls Community Football Charter to ensure its successful implementation among community clubs, leagues, and umpire groups.
  • Collaborate with clubs, leagues, and umpire groups to implement action plans and drive positive improvements in the community football environment.
  • Facilitate education modules and programs that upskill women in community football leadership positions, such as Gender Equity, Governance, Inclusive Marketing, and Lead Your Way.
  • Deliver targeted initiatives to increase the number of women in Community Football Leadership positions, particularly president and vice president roles.
  • Work closely with the State Coaching Lead to plan and deliver Coach Your Way programs, aiming to increase the number of women in coach roles.
  • Manage the Women & Girls Coach Developers under the guidance of the State Coaching Lead.
  • Support the State Umpiring Lead in planning and delivering Umpire Your Way come-and-try days and other initiatives to increase the number of women in umpiring.
  • Assist the State Umpiring Lead in managing the Women & Girls Umpire Liaisons.
  • Contribute to key projects related to the Women & Girls Game Development Action Plan.
  • Support and contribute to the success of the broader Game Development team.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience working across complex stakeholders.
  • Experience in supporting and leading projects.
  • Experience in facilitating workshops with community stakeholders.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated personal initiative and ability to work effectively unsupervised.
