Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Operations Specialist
Job Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of our global cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in a 24/7 rotating shift pattern to ensure the continuous operation of our data centers.
  • Perform routine maintenance and emergency services on critical systems such as switch-gear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, fire systems, etc.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of AWS building control systems.
  • Install new rack capacity and provision power/cooling.
  • Manage on-site contractors and vendors to ensure adherence to established practices and local legislation.
  • Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
  • Manage facility assets, generate change management requests and incident management tickets, and assist in resolving infrastructure engineering and services issues.

A Day in the Life:As a Cloud Infrastructure Operations Specialist, your day will be filled with attending operational meetings to foster awareness of important activities across the Melbourne data centre region, mentoring and developing less experienced engineering operations technicians, planning and scheduling of maintenance activities for critical infrastructure, and collaborating on solving complex engineering problems impacting critical infrastructure.
