Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day health, stability, and performance of our Azure-based infrastructure platform.

  • Perform operational support for production and non-production servers hosted on Microsoft Azure.
  • Manage system availability, performance, and patch compliance using Azure-native tools and automation.
  • Ensure adherence to tagging policies, RBAC controls, NSG configurations, and HA/DR practices as per Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Infrastructure Management:
  • Implement and manage Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, load balancers, and network security groups.
  • Maintain high uptime and performance of production systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployment and scaling of applications.
Compliance and Security:
  • Ensure all Azure resources meet organizational security standards and compliance requirements.
  • Implement and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery processes.
  • Monitor and analyze security event logs to identify potential threats.
Automation and Orchestration:
  • Design and implement automated workflows using Azure DevOps and Azure Automation.
  • Develop and maintain custom scripts and tools to streamline infrastructure management tasks.
  • Integrate Azure services with other cloud and on-premises systems.

Requirements:

  • Active AGSVA Baseline Clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Australian Citizenship.

Desirable Attributes and Skills:

  • Hands-on experience managing infrastructure in a Microsoft Azure environment.
  • Proficiency in supporting RHEL and Windows Server-based virtual machines.
  • Strong understanding of Azure IaaS services, including virtual machines, storage accounts, load balancers, NSGs, and availability sets/zones.

Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
  • Red Hat Certified: Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
