About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at Hunter Recruitment Group. As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our mixed fleet of heavy and light buses and coaches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out scheduled service and maintenance activities
  • Identifying, reporting and repairing vehicle faults
  • Conducting planned maintenance in accordance with workshop schedules
  • Completing assigned duties in a safe, clean, competent and timely manner
  • Entering accurate information into fleet maintenance software
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance on our Private Customers vehicles
  • Work flexible hours depending on business requirements
Requirements
  • Relevant mechanical qualification / trade certificate
  • Willingness to obtain or hold a current HR drivers licence
  • Current Police Check (or ability to obtain)
  • Current Work With Children Check (or ability to obtain)
  • Clear communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to recognise problems/issue, formulate and implement appropriate solutions
  • Ability to work in both a team environment and unsupervised
  • Have a strong focus on safety, great work ethic and personality
