This position requires a skilled clinical psychologist to work within the acute Spinal Cord Injury Unit, providing evidence-based psychological assessment, treatment, and support to patients during their stay.
Detailed Job Description
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify patient needs and develop targeted interventions for optimal patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient, promoting successful rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and other service providers to deliver high-quality patient care and ensure seamless transitions between services.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- AHPRA registration as a Psychologist with a Master's degree or higher in Clinical Psychology is mandatory.
- Prior experience working with patients with spinal cord injuries is highly desirable, demonstrating a strong understanding of the complexities involved.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building effective relationships with patients, families, and staff, ensuring informed decision-making and collaborative care.
