The role of Director of Patient Quality and Safety is an exciting opportunity to lead the clinical governance function at Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals. As a high-level expert, you will provide advice to the General Manager on all clinical governance issues and work collaboratively with other members of the executive and key stakeholders to analyse, maintain, and improve patient safety and clinical quality systems across the hospitals.
Responsibilities include establishing and directing the clinical governance function, promoting and supporting patient safety, clinical and improvement science methodology, and providing high-level expert advice to the General Manager. You will also be responsible for working collaboratively with other members of the executive and key stakeholders to achieve these goals.
A key aspect of this role is to promote a culture of safety and quality within the hospital, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care. To achieve this, you will need to have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
The ideal candidate will have relevant tertiary clinical and health management qualifications and/or substantial work experience exhibiting highly advanced strategic and operational leadership for safety and quality. They will also have proven experience leading and developing diverse teams, including systems thinking, change management, problem-solving, analytical and organisational skills.
