Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Heavy Duty Mechanic and Equipment Fitter.

  • This position offers the opportunity to work on a short flight from Perth or approximately 50 km commutable distance from Kalgoorlie.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and repairing heavy equipment, including Sandvik 321 jumbos, loaders and trucks.

About You:

  • Australian recognised Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
  • Current Australian Drivers licence – minimum C class
  • Demonstrated experience working on Sandvik and CAT equipment
  • Experience in repairs and maintenance of heavy earthmoving equipment underground
  • Breakdown repairs and servicing of heavy mining equipment
  • Diagnostic fault finding on mechanical systems
  • Maintain maintenance data daily
