As a Rural Generalist, you will be part of a team of healthcare professionals working together to deliver comprehensive care. You will have the opportunity to work with specialists, general practitioners, and allied health professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient care in collaboration with fellow Rural Generalists, Specialist Consultants, General Practitioners, and Allied Health Professionals
  • Participate in a 24/7 roster, including Code Blue emergency calls
  • Contribute to the training of junior doctors, medical students, and other health professionals
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and ensure best-practice care for patients

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
  • Fellowship with ACRRM or RACGP, or eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA
  • Experience in managing adult and paediatric emergencies and inpatient services
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
