
Hardware Specialist Position

This position involves working with a large IT multinational specializing in POS hardware within the retail sector. As a Hardware Specialist, you will be part of a team that provides top-notch service and support to clients in Sydney.
You will work on a 5-day week, approximately 38 hours per week, but flexibility is key as there may be requirements to move onto a standby roster. Your hands-on hardware repair experience is what matters most.
About YouWe are looking for an experienced technician or someone with a strong IT hardware background who is based in Sydney. You should have a passion for field service and enjoy traveling to customer sites to solve problems.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Servicing touch screens, thermal printers, cash drawers, and eftpos devices
- Maintaining strong hardware skills and understanding of field service
- Ensuring good mechanical aptitude and excellent customer service skills
- Providing reliable, confident, and self-starting service with the ability to work independently
- Communicating effectively with customers and colleagues
- Previous experience with POS installation/repair/maintenance (not essential)
- Strong technical knowledge of POS systems
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to rotate working hours with other team members
