
Strategic Program Lead for Climate Services

Job Description:
The Australian Bureau of Meteorology is seeking a Strategic Program Lead to drive the Australian Climate Service Integration Hub.
This role will shape and drive strategic priorities for the program, oversee collaborations across the ACS partnership, and foster relationships with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and manage internal and external partnerships to deliver innovative problem-solving initiatives.
- Drive cross-agency collaboration activities and research to implement project or program objectives within a specialist area.
- Develop, monitor, and evaluate project or program initiatives, including risk assessment and management activities.
- Report on program objectives, outcomes, and work area performance for presentation to Executive.
- Oversee the use of service providers, including contractors and consultants.
- Manage financial budgets for a business unit.
- Lead strategic planning in collaboration with partners for longer-term project initiatives and programs.
The successful candidate will have advanced experience and capability related to climate services, leadership skills to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and expertise in climate change adaptation and natural disaster prevention, response, relief, recovery, and resilience.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
