About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Trauma Nurse Consultant - Case Manager to join our team at the Central Adelaide Local Health Network. As a key member of our Trauma Service Team, you will provide clinical support during the initial arrival, assessment, and management of major trauma patients in the Emergency Department and Resuscitation area.
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will guide care coordination for major trauma inpatients, collaborating with the Trauma Service Medical Team to support the Emergency Department and Inpatient Teams. Your expertise in Critical Care (ED/ICU/Retrieval Nursing) clinical skills and experience in patient advocacy, communication, and education will be invaluable in this role.
In addition to your clinical expertise, you will also provide education, support clinical audit and simulation, and collaborate on quality improvement and research initiatives. About You
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Trauma Nurse Consultant - Case Manager who meets the following key requirements:
- Qualifications: Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with postgraduate qualifications relevant to Major Trauma Care (i.e., Emergency and / or Critical Care and / or Trauma Nursing) or relevant experience.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities, including effective communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and foster an environment that nurtures staff potential.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years post-registration experience in Emergency, Critical Care, or Trauma Nursing, including supervisory and educational roles.
